Duo DILEMMA<\/strong> was formed by Poppy Dalachani<\/strong> and Sotiris Tragas <\/strong>in Athens, Greece. The two musicians appeared on the discography in 2009 and already from their first album they made a sensation, while being characterized as one of the most essential and original groups in the music scene, due to their instrumental composition and their special interpretation. Dilemma, in their musical performances, take the audience on a rich journey of sounds and words, in an original musical universe that they create and recreate mysteriously. They mix elements of lyricism and improvisation and with their captivating performances they unfold emotions from the darkest introspections to the brightest lyricism. Their musical references combine elements from classical, jazz, world music, ambient as well as modern experimental techniques. They have performed live in music venues in Athens, in cities across Greece, and at festivals abroad, and have written music for visual and theatrical events. Their performances can be combined with many forms of art, such as literature, video art, theater, visual arts, and are sometimes accompanied by a dance group or vocal ensemble.<\/p>\n MEMBERS:<\/p>\n Sotiris Tragas: vocals,<\/em> tenor\/soprano<\/em> saxophone,<\/em> lyrics<\/em>, composition<\/em> <\/p>\n Popi Dalahani: vocals<\/em>, guitars<\/em>, loops, composition<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Poppy Dalachani<\/strong><\/p>\n Poppy Dalachani<\/strong> is a composer, educator and classical guitar teacher. She began her involvement with music in early childhood, attending classical guitar lessons. She successfully completed her studies in both classical guitar and advanced theory with excellent grades and distinctions, and has given concerts and recitals in Greece and abroad. She studied Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Crete and holds a postgraduate degree in Educational Sciences (EAP). She is an active member of the Athenian artistic network and has been a music curator at events organized by the network. During her student years she wrote her first compositions and upon returning to Athens she became an active guitarist in musical groups. In 2002, in collaboration with Sotiris Traga, she created the Duo DILEMMA, which has a rich discography to its credit that has received excellent reviews. She has also composed original music for visual and theatrical events and has a large presence in concert events in Greece and abroad. She is the inspirer, creator and artistic curator of the international festival Lagonisi MusicArt Festival that takes place every summer in the Municipality of Saronikos.<\/p>\n Sotiris (Sean) Tragas<\/strong><\/p>\n Sotiris (Sean) Tragas<\/strong> is a saxophonist, composer, singer and mathematician born in Athens He studied Music at the Hellenic Conservatory of Athens and in Paris (C.I.M) while he participated by choice in seminars of Pink Floyd saxophonist, Dick Perry in London. At the same time, he studied Mathematics at the University of Patras and Computer Science (M.Sc. in Computer Science) at the University of Liverpool in England. He has been a founding and simple member of jazz, art rock, ambient, new wave and post-rock music groups in Greece and England, while he teaches saxophone at an advanced level. With guitarist Poppy Dalachani, he formed DILEMMA in 2002.
